BAULK RING MINI/SPRIGET (COMPETITION)

Current sintered standard baulk (synchro) rings are not tough enough for the demands of performance usage, in many instances lasting only one race before failure!
The main reason is the incompatibility of the material specification with the usage.
Basically, it is too brittle.
These competition baulk ring is in a certain grade of steel machined to a very high quality, then INDUCTION HARDENED. This provides an exceptionally strong ring similar to those produced by Leyland in the 60s. Looks the same as standard apart from an increased area of induction hardening around lugs and the 6 oil slots are rounded rather than square but performs better on moly coated gears such as all original Rover or evolution gears.
