DIFFERENTIAL PIN GENUINE

Genuine Rover Tuftrided pin-Rover originally overcome the problems of diff pin failure by tuftriding them but in error the spec got changed to ni -carb which the heat treaters told them was identical. Apparently not for this use, so they had to revert back to tuftriding as the cheapest way of mass production.Performance mini owners found that tuftriding diff pins was still not really the answer because the pinions are so poorly finished and under any real test of strength and driving conditions they were not man enough. Our molybdenum pin C-BTA164 is as good as you can get without going to our Cross pin differential.The 2 surface areas where the pinions sit are recessed slightly and filled with a molybdenum coating. Do not use our bushed pinions (DAM6624BUSHED)which are part of kit C-BTA167 on moly pins as it will not be beneficial to wear.
