C-AJJ3387 - DIFFERENTIAL EVOLUTION 35/90 RACE LIMITED SLIP DIFF Minispares own Evolution limited slip diff with over 10 years success No serious competitor would use a Mini on a race track or autocross course without a limited slip differential should the rules allow it. This original Mini Spares Evolution LSD is a massively upgraded and advanced version of the old popular Salisbury clutch-type LSD. It has improved clutch material and a unique design for smooth transitions between loaded and unloaded. This efficient design makes the EVO LSD easier and far more predictable to drive than the Salisbury. The plate-type diff design will NOT allow the wheels to loose traction even if one of them loses contact with the track surface. Ramp angles are 45/90 so the diff unlocks on deceleration for easier turn in. This 'race' version of the EVO LSD is pre-set for full race applications but can be easily changed. (Available in Rally C-AJJ3387A and road C-AJJ3387B specifications.)Used now by all top racers for more than 10 years without failures - beware of copies. C-AJJ3387A - DIFFERENTIAL EVOLUTION 45/45 RALLY SPEC SLIP DIFF Minispares own Evolution limited slip diff with over 10 years success General spec and design is the same as C-AJJ3387 but has a 45/45 ramp type giving drive on acceleration and deceleration, preferred by many rally drivers for forest type rallies. However, for tarmac/airfields the 45/90 type ramp which unlocks on deceleration as per the race spec C-AJJ3387 may prove more effective. The 45/90 ramp is available separately and can be purchased as TRAN0004. 22G2583 - DIFFERENTIAL PIN GENUINE Genuine Rover Tuftrided pin-Rover originally overcome the problems of diff pin failure by tuftriding them but in error the spec got changed to ni -carb which the heat treaters told them was identical. Apparently not for this use, so they had to revert back to tuftriding as the cheapest way of mass production.Performance mini owners found that tuftriding diff pins was still not really the answer because the pinions are so poorly finished and under any real test of strength and driving conditions they were not man enough. Our molybdenum pin C-BTA164 is as good as you can get without going to our Cross pin differential.The 2 surface areas where the pinions sit are recessed slightly and filled with a molybdenum coating. Do not use our bushed pinions (DAM6624BUSHED)which are part of kit C-BTA167 on moly pins as it will not be beneficial to wear. …more

Recommended for all standard differential rebuilds. Pay special attention to the condition of the planet wheels when rebuiling as they cause most of the damage to the pin especially when used under arduous conditions. Specially bushed planet wheels are available as DAM6624BUSHED or in a kit with the pin as C-BTA167. In severe conditions where the planet gears appear to break or severely wear the pin a special molybdenum coated pin is available as C-BTA164 but this molybdenum pin must not use bushed type planet gears. …more
