CYLINDER HEAD ALLOY 5 PORT HEAD (RACE)

C-AHT347RACE - CYLINDER HEAD ALLOY 5 PORT HEAD (RACE) Very Hi spec all new alloy 5 port super gas flowing head. Outright sale to save you the risk of losing £240 on exchange schemes where old heads are traded in and where faults can be found, especially by some companies. The C-AHT347RACE cylinder head is only really suitable on engines that have 0.040”, 0.060” or 73.5mm bores, this is due to the fact that the valve spacing is wider than standard which causes a shrouding effect ( impaired performance ) if fitted to std or 0.020”. Independent Dyno tests and reports have shown this is the best head in market for value and performance. Order ( C-AHT348RACE ) for the de shrouded version to optimize bhp / torque on std & 0.020" bores. Any race engine 1275cc - 1380cc will optimize bhp / torque from the de shrouding effect of this cylinder head. Speak to NEIL BOOTH or Richard at York branch for all modifications required to fit this head as it is not a straight swop. Valve seat spacing means that a modification to the rocker cover is required and push rods are at a slight angle so check for clearance. Roller rockers are required to ensure pads are seated correctly on valves using C-AEG593 spacers alignment kit. A modified rocker cover is usually required and available as FP24 which has back machined to clear rockers. Manifold studs with UNC thread for alloy type heads only are included (6 of 53K547) Mini Spares large valve alloy race ported and gas flowed head has race quality valves with special beryllium valve seats and special colsibro guides similar to those used on 8 port. Valves are spaced further apart to eradicate heat transfer causing cracking as found on old original cast heads. Weight approx 5.7kg. Casting shape and profile is based on the 12G1805 "S" 940 casting design. Machined for C-AEA526 height springs with our locating shims underneath. With 37mm inlet and 31mm exhaust valves and titanium top caps plus 88G459EVO collets for ultimate strength. Combustion chambers are original 21.3 to 21.5cc Advantages are weight and better cooling on a brand new head as old castings are becoming poor for reliabillty when modifying. All heads are hipped and heat treated (annealed)from the foundry and pressure tested before machining and again after they are assembled but good quality flat head washers should be used.See C-AHT280 Use GEG300,TAM1521(BK450) or C-AHT189 cometic head gaskets only Ring Mini Spares North for technical information and availablity of any special requirements if we can be of assistance.
