Note: This handbrake cable is very similar to cables originally fitted to the MG TD and TF. All critical dimensions are correct. The OE type metal spiral housing has the unique combination of wide & narrow strips formed into a tube or housing for the inner cable. This OE type spiral housing is covered in a black plastic sheath, a non-OE feature that protects the steel housing from water, dirt, and road grime, which in turn protects the inner cable and maximizes the useful life of the e-brake system. If originality is your goal, nick the plastic cover with a knife point or a utility knife and peel the black plastic sleeve off the cable.
