GRILLE MK5 THIN SLAT BRIGHTWORK FOR INTERNAL RELEASE

This style of grille was introduced when the MKII Mini was first shown in 1968. Since then the same basic grille can be fitted to all later models of the Mini but this has no dished top slat to allow opening of the bonnet.Therefore you will require an internal bonnet release as fitted to LATER minis. The flat slatted grille has nicely finished aluminum bars on a black platform. Owing to its multi slat grille design, it is harder to fit the surrounds but we have now modified them by removing some material on the back of the slats.Check you have metal on the front panel to accept screws--just removing indicators lamps on some models helps the fitment of surrounds when the grille is on car but make sure you have the plastic seatings 37H8108 fitted or you will damage your paintwork.
