PISTON SINGLE 73.5MM EVOLUTION WITH 10CC DISH

These double silicon Evolution pistons are 73.5mm with a 10cc dish making 1380cc and giving 10-1 cr with a 21.4cc standard head. With pistons flush to block it has 10.53cr. Different to our other mega 73.5mm piston these have different ring lands to accomodate Hastings Rings 1.5mm from USA (C-STN97). The piston ring groove design has stepped away from convention, utilising specifications distilled out of intensive testing and are as used on the very latest high-performance pistons for mega-powered Japanese engines. PLEASE NOTE- One feature of this design is that the rings do not retract fully into the groove but this is NOT a design fault! The rings will need gapping ? 0.011?/0.28mm to 0.014?/0.36mm inches being optimum. The second ring has a dot marked on it which faces the top of the piston. The upper ring fits either way. These pistons should prove to be bullet proof! Lightweight alloy and special heat treatment, the result is an extremely durable piston that will withstand greater cylinder pressures at higher rpm than any other currently available anywhere near this price. To simplify the range, material has been concentrated around various problem areas - the ring lands and crown. The rings come seperate with the pistons so they can be properly measured and installed. Suggested finished honed bore to piston clearances are as follows - Road/fast road - 0.0015 to 0.0017" Sports/super sports - 0.0018" t0 0.002" Race - 0.0022" to 0.0025" Turbo road - 0.002" to 0.0025" NOTE - The piston rings are position specific and the second compression rings are directional. The top ring has no directional markings. The second ring has a small dot stamped in to it. This is to be fitted with the dot facing the top of the piston.
